1 Peter 1:17

“And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;” – 1:17

And if you call on the Father  – in light of being holy as God is holy, we are reminded that we have a Father who cares, after all, He is the one that has shown us mercy and adopted us into His family, we can call on Him.

conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here – there is an expectation that our conduct changes when we are born again.

in fear – the fear of God will always cause us to run from sin and run to God.

An application:

Father, thank you for your mercy that has given me another chance. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Thank you for the relationship you have restored between you and me. Please bring the transformation in my conduct as you have asked in this passage. May I have the fear of God in me, may it drive me from sin and lead me to Your side. Amen.
