1 Peter 1:20

1 Peter 1:20

“He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” – 1:20

Our context here is verse 19 where Peter tells us that we have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. Now he talks of this Saviour.

He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world,  – since the foundation of the world (Rev 13:8) Jesus gave Himself as the assurance should mankind sin, to be the Lamb of God.

but was manifest in these last times – He was promised from the foundation of the world, but now, in these last days He is revealed!

for you – why? why was His promised from the foundation of the World? Why was He manifest in these last times? For YOU!

An application:

Father, Thank-you Father for the assurance that from the foundation of the World, you have provided a way for ME, thank-you Jesus forgiving yourself for ME! Let me be born again today, and have that holy conduct that you provide! Amen.
