Titus 1:13

Titus 1:13

“This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,” – Titus 1:13

rebuke them” – the Bishop needs to ‘tell a fault’ and ‘convince’

“sharply”‘abruptly’, don’t beat around the bush.

“that they may be sound”that they may be ‘uncorrupt’, ‘be well’, ‘be in good health’

“in the faith”without the ‘rebuke’ they will not be in good health according to the faith. Hence the need for the ‘tell a fault’

An application:

As an “overseer”, Lord, help me to be able to have the courage and wisdom on when and how to ‘rebuke – tell a fault’ in such a way that it will bring ‘good health’ to the one who is being ‘rebuked’, the ‘insubordinate’, ‘idle talker’, and ‘deceiver’. Amen.
