Titus 1:14

“not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth.” – Titus 1:14

In the previous verse, Paul says they need to be sharply rebuked so that they may be sound in the faith. Or be in good health. This is what will help them not to give heed to these fables and commandments of men. And this is what turns them from the truth.

An application:

As an “overseer”, Lord, I need wisdom, courage, and discernment to be able to carry this out. Help me to have your Love, when these kinds of situations arise. Amen.
