Titus 2:5

Titus 2:5

“to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.” – Titus 2:5

Continuing on from what the older women are to teach the young, Paul adds the following;

discreet” –of a sound mind, sane, in one’s senses, curbing one’s desires and impulses, self-controlled, temperate

“chaste” – sacred, pure from carnality, chaste, modest

“homemakers” – caring for the house, working at home

“good” – of good constitution or nature

“obedient to their own husbands” – to arrange under, to subordinate

“that the word of God may not be blasphemed.” – According to this passage, God’s word is blasphemed when the above is not taught and applied.

An application:

As an “overseer”, I pray that I will be the husband that will support my wife and help her in your journey to be the women you want her to be. Amen.
