Lucifer is coming!

Published on

This year – 2016 is turning out to be a big year. In the USA, Fox (an American TV media network) has been broadcasting a new series called – yes you guessed it – “Lucifer”. According to the press – “The series focuses on Lucifer Morningstar, “who is bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell and resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the beauty of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals” Lucifer runs a piano bar in Los Angeles called “Lux”, with the assistance of his demonic ally Mazikeen. After a minor celebrity whom Lucifer once helped achieve fame is murdered outside his club, Lucifer becomes involved with the LAPD when he takes it upon himself to assist Detective Chloe Decker in finding the one responsible so that he can “punish them””.

In the lead up to promote the premier of the show the network has taken out nation wide advertising. Including the electronic billboards in Time Square in New Your City – which states “I hope all these big award nominees don’t forget to thank me..” followed with a widely trending Twitter hashtag of #luciferiscoming.

It would seem to any student of the Bible that the arch enemy of God’s kingdom is now “hiding” in “plain sight”. No longer portraying himself as the red-pointy-tailed-pitch-fork lord of the underworld – he is now someone who is misunderstood – good-looking, just wanting to get along with everyone – and hates evil acts.

The Bible teaches that Lucifer’s is in fact a majestic being, never once is he pained to be some hideous creature – however he is also described as one who thrives in the work of deception. See Gen 3, Matt 4, Rev 12. But perhaps his greatest triumph will be “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)

See up coming post on how the scriptures teach the Lucifer will come before Jesus Christ and will claim to be Christ himself – and perhaps with shows likes this, he is one step closer to  deceiving the masses on this very point! (Matt 24:24)
